What is Fibromyalgia?

Is it easier to tell your doctor where it does not hurt? Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition identified by widespread pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons, as well as fatigue and multiple tender points on the body. Often, just the slightest pressure causes pain. Although no one knows for sure what causes fibromyalgia pain, many medical experts think that fibromyalgia could be related to a variety of different causes including sleep disturbances, abnormalities of the nervous system, stress, changes in muscle metabolism, or hormonal changes.
